Laura is a Tech and Startup enthusiast, passionate about solving problems, and energized by the fast-paced rhythm involved in scaling and growing companies in the FinTech ecosystem. Living in Shanghai, and glimpsing into the future of financial services through Alipay, inspired her to create tools that provide access to financial services for the underbanked, and through them, bridge the existing wealth gap that significantly affects women.

Over the last four years, Laura has co-launched an international digital lending company in Mexico and led the Operations Teams at two FinTech startups priming the business for scale to reach a 270K user base and beyond. Laura started working as a Product Manager in the blockchain industry in 2021, and is currently working with the Ethereum Foundation Privacy and Scaling Explorations team as a grantee. Along that she is also the Governor at HER DAO LATAM focused in bringing more Latin American women into web3 as builders. Hear this people, Laura has hacked in 5 web3 hackathons winning each one of them and being an Eth finalist at EthMexico by Eth Global. She has trained over 20 hackathon projects. She has founded women’s networking initiatives in crypto such as WAGMI LATAM and spearheaded changes in recruiting processes to increase gender equity in hiring.
